The authorities of Colombia and Morocco have decided to suspend passenger flights with the UK due to a new strain of coronavirus infection.
The Moroccan government clarified that such a decision is part of emergency measures that are being taken in order to protect the country’s citizens from a pandemic.
Colombian President Ivan Duque also pointed to the danger of the spread of a new type of coronavirus. All citizens who have recently returned from the UK to Colombia are required to remain in self-isolation for 14 days.
Earlier, flights with Great Britain were suspended: Germany, Czech Republic, Croatia, Latvia, Finland, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland.
