According to Gribanov, climate warming has begun due to the accumulation of the greenhouse effect. He noted that temperature maxima are slowly increasing due to heat waves traveling through the European part of Russia.
Pestryakova also pointed to the risks of tornadoes, gusty winds and severe frosts.
“The underlying surface is changing: forests are being reduced, there is more plowing and desertification,” she explained.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Situation Center of Roshydromet Anatoly Tsygankov said that on April 12 in Moscow the temperature would warm up to +16 degrees, the day promises to be sunny.
