A 36-year-old unemployed resident of Chelyabinsk has started a suspicious business. In social networks and on marketplaces, she sold supposedly effective dietary supplements for weight loss, containing the potent substance sibutramine. The woman bought illegal drugs in the neighboring republic. Then she was smuggled into Chelyabinsk in a private car.
The police identified the persons to whom the accused had been illegally selling potent drugs posing a health hazard for several months. Already proven 18 criminal episodes. About one kilogram of sibutramine was withdrawn from the illegal turnover.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the woman. She faces up to 8 years in prison, according to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region.
