Before the abduction of the former Ukrainian judge Chaus, at least 10 people followed him. These persons began arriving in Moldova from Ukraine at least 19 days before the disappearance of Nikolai Chaus. In their new investigation, RISE Moldova journalists report that five of the participants used forged documents.
“The members of the group, citizens of Ukraine, arrived in Moldova by minibuses of regular flights, or crossing the border on foot. They didn’t come together, didn’t check in in the same place, and didn’t leave at the same time. All the precautions had one goal – to kidnap and take Nicolae Chaus out of Moldova, ”the investigators write.
From the materials of the investigation, which were at the disposal of the journalists, it is known that three cars were involved in the abduction – a Ford minibus, a Mercedes Benz sedan and a Toyota jeep. The car of the Japanese brand belongs to the Ukrainian embassy, and the military attaché Sergey Smetanyuk was at the wheel. Its passengers were two participants in the abduction.
Let us remind you that Judge Chaus was abducted in the center of Chisinau on April 3. He was transported to a neighboring country in the trunk of a car with diplomatic plates belonging to the Ukrainian embassy in Chisinau. According to one of the versions, we are talking about a special operation of the secret services of Ukraine, carried out after the agreements between the President of Moldova Maia Sandu and her Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
