On October 30, the second stage of the influenza vaccination campaign continues in the Smolensk Region. As reported in the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Smolensk region, at this time in the region, the incidence of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections is at the interepidemic level.

As of October 26, 166,123 people were vaccinated against influenza in the Smolensk Region, including 31,753 children, which amounted to 18.3% of the population.

By the end of November it is planned to vaccinate more than 204,000 Smolyans. State medical institutions received the second batch of Russian vaccines, including those for people over 60 years old. The vaccine contains influenza virus strains recommended by the World Health Organization for the 2020-21 season.
