The Bulgarian Ministry of Health has decided to open the border for tourists from May 1. This was announced on April 23 by the acting head of the department Kostadin Angelov.
According to him, entry will be allowed in connection with the beginning of the tourist season, but travelers will need to have any of three types of medical documents with them – a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus, a negative PCR test or a certificate of COVID-19 postponed in the last six months, Radio reports. Angelov added that the country is emerging from the third wave of coronavirus, the VESTI portal reports.
Classes in educational centers will be allowed in Bulgaria from April 24 subject to a physical distance of at least 1.5 m, wearing masks and disinfecting the premises hourly.

According to the latest data published by the Bulgarian Ministry of Health, 1,681 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the country. The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria was 394 594. Over the past day, 103 patients with coronavirus died, the total number of deaths reached 15 721.
