Bolivia demands to file a case against Morales over a rally in a pandemic

According to the Agencia Boliviana de Informacion agency, Bolivian President Yerco Nunez sent a request to the Prosecutor’s Office of the interim government of the country to initiate a case against ex-President Evo Morales and the head of the Central Workers’ Union of Bolivia Juan Huarachi on the fact of organizing a protest, which took place against the background of quarantine restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“An appeal has been filed to start a criminal investigation against Evo Morales, Juan Carlos Huarachi and the leader of the Movement to Socialism faction Beatrice Janikes and all their accomplices in connection with actions that endanger public health,” he said.
