Employees of the law enforcement agencies of Belarus spoke about the injuries received during clashes with participants in protest actions in the republic.

In particular, a serviceman of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shared that a bottle got in his face while he was behind the chain. As a result, the fighter completely lost one tooth and partially the other.

An employee of the Minsk police department said that he was hospitalized with an ankle fracture in three places.

“Some of the citizens rushed at us, during the arrest I twisted my leg. I was taken to the hospital, operated on, after which I learned that I had a fracture of my ankle in three places, there is now a lot of metal in my leg, ”he explained.

The videos were published on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus under the general title “Actions where injuries are received are not needed, because all parties to the conflict suffer.”

On August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus. According to the final data of the Central Election Commission, 80.1% of voters voted for the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and 10.1% for the oppositionist Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters did not recognize the results of the vote.

Since August 10, daily large-scale protests have been held in the country, accompanied by arrests. Both citizens and security forces were injured, one civilian was killed. Belarusian enterprises went on strike demanding to cancel the election results.
