Azerbaijan has extended a special quarantine regime for coronavirus until December 28, the republic’s headquarters said.
“In order to prevent the spread of the virus in Azerbaijan, a special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan has been extended until 6:00 on December 28,” the statement said.
It is indicated that from November 21 to 06.00 on December 28 public transport will not work in the country. The closure of the Baku metro was also extended until December 28.
From November 21 to December 28, the provision of services at all facilities, except for grocery stores and pharmacies, is suspended throughout Azerbaijan. The number of employees of private and state-owned enterprises who go to work will be reduced by up to 30%. Also, wearing masks in the republic is becoming mandatory – in open and closed places.
Currently, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan has reached 87,163.
