On August 14, at 10:00, in Demidov, on a sports ground that simulates forest conditions, an annual competition will be held to determine the best forest firefighter in the Smolensk region. On this day, the regional stage of the VI All-Russian competition of professional skills “The best forest firefighter-2020” will take place.
The competition will be attended by specialists working in the forestry complex, including forest firefighters, foresters, and inspectors.
Competitions will be held in three stages: physical training (push-ups, running, pull-ups); theoretical testing; passing a forest fire obstacle course (overcoming a windbreak, eliminating a fire center, sawing a log, supplying water from a motor pump).
The winners and prize-winners of the competition are encouraged with cash prizes, and the best forest firefighter will represent the Smolensk region at the federal stage in the city of Sofrino, Moscow region, in September this year.
