In addition, it was noted that football fans began to burn flares, detonate firecrackers, and shout anti-government slogans. After that, law enforcement officers had to use tear gas.

On the evening of 23 August, FC Bayern Munich beat PSG to win the UEFA Champions League for the sixth time. The only goal of the game was scored by the Parisian pupil Kingsley Coman, who now plays for the German club.
