Azov archaeologists told about the medieval dwelling found during excavations in the medieval city of Azak. This was announced by the head of the archeology department of the local museum-reserve Andrei Maslovsky.

The found dwelling is already the 32nd in the list of discovered structures by specialists from Azov. Often they do not find anything of value in them, but this time the archaeologists were lucky.

“In a medieval building, we found a treasure of silver coins, several sacks of grain and a huge number of broken ceramic vessels,” noted Andrey Maslovsky. – Judging by such wealth, the city dweller Azak was very prosperous.

Currently, archaeologists are trying to piece together whole vases in order to better study the ceramics of those times.
