The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has posted on its Twitter account a link to the FBI electronic library site “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.”

The Daily Mail drew attention to this. The reference to the 139-page anti-Semitic document was not accompanied by any comments from the department, condemning the statements in the “Protocols” and expressing the unacceptability of anti-Semitic views. Because of this, among many users of social networks, the publication caused outrage. In particular, some Americans felt that by posting such materials without any comments, the FBI actually promoted the spread of anti-Jewish sentiments in society and made additional advertising for them. The FBI later removed their post and apologized to anyone it might offend. According to the department, the publication was made by a robot in response to a request, so it was not accompanied by any comments.
