2639 patients recovered from coronavirus in Moscow over the past day. This was announced on Saturday, October 24, by the deputy mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova.
“The number of people who have recovered in Moscow continues to grow. Over the past day after undergoing treatment, another 2,639 patients have recovered. The total number of people who have recovered from the infection has increased to 287,910, ”she told reporters.
According to the latest data, over the entire period of the pandemic, 1,480,646 cases of coronavirus were detected in 85 regions in Russia, 25,525 deaths were recorded, 1,119,251 people recovered.
Earlier on the same day, Alexander Gorelov, deputy director for research at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, urged “not to be afraid of statistics.”
As the expert explained, in order to stop the circulation of the virus, the population must have an appropriate immune layer. This, according to Gorelov, can only be discussed when routine vaccination is introduced at least at the level of influenza and the collective immunity of Russians reaches 60-70%.
