A resident of Simferopol assisted the police in arresting a man who attacked a woman. The incident took place on March 5 on one of the central streets of the Crimean capital.
On that day, a 32-year-old Dzhanko man attacked a 28-year-old woman. The robber, under threat of using a knife, snatched a bag with a large sum of money from the victim’s hands. Ruslan Dudnik, passing by, became an unwitting witness to the incident.
According to Ruslan, the picture of the attack unfolded in front of him. The man caught up with the offender, stopped and began to hold him until the police arrived. The patrol crew arrived a couple of minutes later.
Ruslan Dudnik was presented with gratitude from the hands of the head of the Simferopol department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The actions of the detainee fell under the criminal article “robbery on a large scale.” He faces up to 12 years in prison, according to the press service of the police.
