Ambulance drivers of Nizhny Tagil have achieved a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region Andrei Karlov. They oppose the transfer of the service to private companies. The meeting was attended by about 40 people. Also earlier, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Vladimir Radaev spoke with activists Mikhail Smolnikov and Mikhail Sharov.

In the near future, Vladimir Radaev planned to meet with Andrei Karlov and inform him about the essence of possible agreements, TagilCity.Ru reports. Mikhail Smolnikov, a member of the Action trade union of health workers, said that the entire staff of the ambulance station was against outsourcing.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the city administration has banned a protest picket. It is planned that the ambulances of Nizhny Tagil, Pervouralsk and Kamensk-Uralsky will go to outsourcing.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Health told Ura.ru, during a meeting with ambulance drivers, Andrei Karlov said that the agency had received written guarantees from the outsourcing company to preserve all the social and labor rights of drivers. Chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Regional Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Pogudin stressed that the deputy corps will ensure proper control over the process of transferring the vehicle fleet to outsourcing in 2021.

Earlier in Nizhny Tagil began a reform of medical institutions, the scheme of which provides for the unification of all city hospitals. Discussed was the creation of a head enterprise on the basis of city hospital No. 1 or Demidovskaya. The reform will enable unified governance and cost savings. Oncological and psychiatric dispensaries are operated in a similar way in the Sverdlovsk region.
