American singer Lady Gaga and 94-year-old singer Tony Bennett, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, will release their second joint album, according to AARP Magazine.

The new album was recorded by the performers from 2018 to 2020 in New York at the Electric Lady Studios. According to Bennett’s wife Susan, during this period, the artist already showed clear signs of illness.

Lady Gaga, in turn, was very concerned about the musician’s condition and tried to support him throughout the recording of the compositions.

Tony Bennett admitted to suffering from Alzheimer’s on February 1. However, for the first time this diagnosis was made to the singer in 2016, and then Bennett chose to hide this information.

So far, the artist does not have symptoms such as disorientation in space, tantrums and depression, but his condition is getting worse.

The author of the article said that during a conversation with Susan, Bennett suddenly looked up from reading the book and, smiling, asked about the weather outside.

“If I didn’t know that he and Susan had just returned from a walk with the dog in the park, I would not have suspected that something was wrong,” he said.

Tony Bennett (real name – Anthony Benedetto) gained popularity in the 1950s, was awarded 19 Grammy awards, a Gershwin Prize laureate. In 2014, the singer released the album Cheek to Cheek, recorded with Lady Gaga.

Scientists have previously suggested using a special wheat variety as a way to fight Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
