Online sales marketplace AliExpress has announced the launch of apparel, footwear and accessories outsourcing to support small and medium-sized fashion brands. The press service of “AliExpress Russia” writes about it.
The service was named “Big Fashion”. On its platform, sellers and manufacturers of goods can place their assortment and increase sales without opening their own storefront and without dealing with operational issues. At the moment, the marketplace sells goods of such brands as Masha Tsigal, Fly, Nobbaro, Makfine, Lambonika, Fargo, Jadea, etc. It is assumed that subsequently about 300 fashion brands will be presented at Bolshoy Fashionable.
The superstore was managed by one of AliExpress’s largest service partners, Xway.
For buyers, the online store operates in the department store format. Marketplace users can choose from products presented on one site, sorted by brands and categories. The buyer receives all paid goods in one order.
In turn, sellers can delegate to the store all processes related to sales on the marketplace: placing goods on the online storefront, promoting and participating in promotions, communicating with users before and after the sale, storing and delivering orders to buyers, daily transfer of orders to the seller, working with reviews.
For outsourcing services, Bolshoi Modny takes a 10% or 20% commission from sellers. The 20% rate includes all of the above services and also provides a refundable return service. The 10% commission includes all the same services, except for the storage and delivery of goods.
If sellers do not have their own warehouse, you can use fulfillment, that is, place goods in the Xway warehouse – the commission will not change. Money is withheld only from completed orders.
In 2020, it became known that AliExpress will provide self-employed citizens of Russia with the opportunity to open their own stores on the marketplace. For self-employed individuals in 75 regions of the country, there is a special preferential tax regime. Residents of any of these regions will be able to open an AliExpress outlet.
