Moscow | Russian opponent Alexey Navalny said Monday that Novichok had been identified in his body and on his body, demanding that Moscow return the clothes he wore on the day of his poisoning, “vital proof”.

“Before I was allowed to be taken to Germany, they took off all my clothes and sent me completely naked. Considering the fact that Novichok was found on my body and that a method of contact infection is very likely, my clothes are very important physical evidence ”, wrote on his blog Mr. Navalny, currently recovering in a Berlin hospital.

“I demand that my clothes be carefully packed in a plastic bag and returned to me,” added the opponent.

Victim of discomfort during a flight in Russia on August 20, Alexei Navalny was first admitted to a Siberian establishment before being transferred to Germany, where it was found to be poisoned in Novichok, a neurotoxic substance designed by Soviet specialists for military purposes.

Moscow rejected this possibility, despite the conclusions to this effect from German, French and Swedish laboratories.

According to the support of Mr. Navalny, traces of Novichok were notably found on a water bottle picked up in his hotel room in Siberia.

Alexeï Navalny also mocked the preliminary checks carried out by the Russian transport police on Monday because of his hospitalization after his discomfort on the plane, without opening an official investigation. It’s “like I slipped into a supermarket and broke my leg”.

In another post on Instagram, Mr. Navalny paid tribute to his wife Yulia who, during her three weeks in a coma, “came to talk, sing songs, put on music”.

“Now I know for sure from my experience that love heals and brings to life,” he added.
