The head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov decided to dismiss the director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Krymavtodor” Dmitry Krivenko due to poor quality road construction. He stated this on Thursday, August 13, at a meeting following visits to construction sites in Simferopol and Simferopol district.

The head of the region noted that the enterprise was tasked with improving the courtyards of multi-storey residential buildings in Simferopol, but the order was not executed.
Aksenov instructed on the same day to appoint an acting director of the enterprise.
At the end of July, the head of Crimea announced the construction of four-lane roads on the peninsula leading to the border with Ukraine. According to him, such roads should be there, taking into account the interstate communication.
At the moment, the main highway “Tavrida” is being built in Crimea. The total length will be 250.7 km, the cost is about 149.3 billion rubles. The road will become a kind of connecting link of the bridge across the Kerch Strait and the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia.
It is laid bypassing Feodosia, Belogorsk, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai. The construction is planned to be completed in September this year.
