On August 7, in the village of Pirogovo, at the Day of the Linen Field-2020, a unique medical suit from this culture was presented. And before the start of the event, the address of the Governor of the Tver Region was read out to numerous guests.
– For more than a century and a half, “northern silk” has been one of the main agricultural crops of the Upper Volga region. Today our region remains the industry leader in the Central Federal District in terms of the area under fiber flax crops. We plan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, to secure the status of a pilot territory for the Tver region for the implementation of an all-Russian project for the development of flax growing, – says the address on behalf of Igor Rudeni.
It is reported that the industry is supported systematically at the federal and regional levels. This will allow the Tver region to significantly strengthen its positions, and manufacturers to raise the level of their development.

It can be used to make disposable medical and cosmetic items such as shirts, gowns and sheets. However, after exactly one day, it must be disposed of.
– This innovative suit is suitable for protection against coronavirus infection. Compared to analogs, imported and domestic, made of synthetic materials, ours consists of natural raw materials. It provides 100% protection, on the other hand, it has hygienic properties, which is important for doctors who have to stay in a suit for a long time. The inner layer is medical linen, the outer layer is a breathable membrane. The product is currently being tested for safety, permeability, and protective functions. By the end of this year, we plan to obtain a registration certificate, – said Mikhail Golovlev, General Director of the Kashin Flax Mill.
