A resident of the city of Nelidovo, Tver Region, was detained in Tver on suspicion of the murder of his partner’s 13-year-old daughter. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
“The first department for the investigation of particularly important cases (on crimes against the person and public safety) of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Tver Region in the framework of the criminal case opened on the facts of the murder of a 13-year-old girl and the commission of theft (clause“ c ”of Part No. 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, clause “g” of part 3 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), a 33-year-old resident of the city of Nelidovo was detained, “the message says.
According to the investigation, the suspect, being in the apartment at the place of residence, using a scarf found in the apartment, strangled the young daughter of his partner, after which he disappeared from the scene of the crime, taking valuable things from the apartment with him. The man was put on the federal wanted list.
They managed to detain him earlier on Tuesday in Tver. Currently, the investigation is preparing to go to court with a petition to choose a preventive measure against him.
The fact that the investigators opened a criminal case on the veil of the murder in the Tver region of a 13-year-old stepdaughter by her mother’s 33-year-old partner was reported the day before.
As it was specified, the message about the disappearance of the girl was received by the police on February 6. The application was submitted by the mother of the child. The woman was in the hospital, and her daughter and her partner were left at home alone and stopped communicating. Investigators entered the woman’s apartment and found the girl’s body there.
It was also reported that the suspected man was previously convicted of the murder of his wife and attempted murder of his child.
