In the Kuban, a man was suspected of murdering his wife and her son. This was announced on Wednesday, November 25, on the website of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory.

The incident took place in the village of Pavlovskaya that morning. It was previously established that a 67-year-old man had a conflict with his 70-year-old wife on domestic grounds, during which he stabbed her to death. After that, he went to the house of her 43-year-old son, wounded his wife with a hunting rifle and fired at the owner of the house. After that, the man came to the house of his wife’s 44-year-old son, killed him with a knife, and then fled the scene.

Investigators managed to detain the suspect, during the arrest he resisted the law enforcement officers, but they managed to neutralize him. A criminal case was initiated under the articles on the murder of two persons, on attempted murder, on causing grievous bodily harm, as well as on the use of violence dangerous to the life and health of a police officer. It is specified that at the time of the arrest the attacker was blocked in the car by police officers on one of the streets of the village and threatened law enforcement officers with a gun.

According to REN TV, the tragedy occurred after the suspect learned about his wife’s intention to transfer property to the children from his first marriage.

The daughter of the murdered man told the “360” TV channel that the suspect had previously threatened his relatives with reprisals.

“I said before that he would kill everyone. Then he went, apologized for the words. I constantly quarreled with my grandmother, but I treated my father and brother normally, ”she said.

The investigation intends to petition for the arrest of the man. A forensic psychiatric examination was assigned to the suspect, taking into account the circumstances of the crimes committed. The press service of the Rosgvardia State Directorate for the Krasnodar Territory told TASS that the suspect owned the weapon illegally, since he is not listed in the database of civilian weapon owners.

On November 24, it was reported that in the Krasnodar Territory a jury acquitted a man who was suspected of killing an eight-year-old girl. The acquitted person was released from custody in the courtroom.
