A resident of the Tselinny District of Kalmykia is accused of falsely accusing a fellow villager of rape.
According to the investigation, a 52-year-old resident of the Tselinny District applied to the Tselinny Interdistrict Investigation Department on January 2, 2021, with a statement about the rape committed against her by a local resident. But during the check, the information she stated in the statement was not confirmed, according to the website of the Investigative Department of the RF IC for the Republic of Kazakhstan
Investigators opened a criminal case against the false applicant. She is suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly false denunciation, combined with the accusation of a person of committing an especially serious crime).
