The court found that on one of the days in the period from August to September 2020 in a forest in the Kostroma region, a man accidentally, when he was picking mushrooms, found and appropriated 2 cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber, which, according to the expert opinion, are hunting cartridges and belong to categories of ammunition for rifled firearms and are suitable for firing shots. Subsequently, he kept these cartridges at his place of residence until February 2021, when they were found and seized from him.
The case was considered by the court in a special order with full admission of guilt by the defendants. When imposing a sentence, the court took into account the data on his personality, according to which he was negatively characterized, abused alcohol, and was brought to administrative responsibility.
The court found the man guilty of illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of ammunition (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 9 months of restriction of freedom.
