The black leather sneaker with beige sole was designed by West in collaboration with Nike designers Mark Smith and Tiffany Bierce. The pair was released in a single copy exclusively for the musician and was not later reissued.
The rapper first appeared wearing them in public during a performance at the 2008 Grammy Awards. The sneakers were later sold at a charity auction in support of a hospital in the American state of Oregon. Until recently, they were kept in a private collection.
