On July 28, a seller of a store located on Dekabristov Street contacted the police. He stated that an unknown person entered the premises and, using physical force, stole almost 57.5 thousand rubles from the cash register. However, the operatives found out that the crime was committed by the store employee himself. In order to divert suspicion from himself, he staged an attack: he punched himself in the face and took the money. The young man spent the money on bookmaker bets.
Criminal cases have been instituted against the suspect on the grounds of crimes under the articles “Theft” and “Knowingly false denunciation”, the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kazan reports.
