The Associated Press has published a video of the alleged death of Aleksandr Taraikovsky, a participant in an unauthorized rally in Minsk.

The footage shows a bloody T-shirt, you can see how the deceased staggers in front of an armed group of security officials and falls.

At the same time, there is no grenade on the video, which was reported by the law enforcement agencies of Belarus, it is also not visible at what moment Taraikovsky is mortally wounded, writes REN TV.

Earlier, the Telegram channel Euroradio published a video shot from a different angle. The video is edited from two recordings from different angles. The footage shows a man walking towards the security forces with his hands up. After that, a flash from the shot is visible, and the man stopped, staggered and after a few seconds fell.

The fact that one person died during the protests in Minsk was announced on August 10 by the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova. It was noted that, according to preliminary data, the man was killed during the confrontation with the special forces that arrived at the scene of the protests. The demonstrator tried to throw an explosive device at the security forces, but it exploded in his hand.

Later it became known that the name of the deceased was Alexander Taraikovsky. According to his common-law wife, the family searched for him for two days and does not believe that he died from an explosive device.

Presidential elections were held in Belarus on August 9. According to the CEC, the current leader of the country, Alexander Lukashenko, won.

After the announcement of the preliminary results in Minsk and other cities of the republic, people who disagreed with the election results began to take to the streets. They were opposed by the security forces. There are casualties on both sides in the clashes.
