A new temperature record was recorded by forecasters in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the Kamchathydromet website on Tuesday, November 24.

It is noted that unusually warm weather has set in the city since the beginning of the month, winter came nine days later than usual – November 18. In addition, a “temperature swing” was observed for two decades in the regional center.

“On November 4, a record was set for the absolute maximum daily air temperature of + 9.4 °, although the previous maximum of + 8.6 ° was observed only 5 years ago in 2014,” it was reported.

Later, there was a gradual decrease in the average daily temperature.

In September 2020, the record temperature of the Earth’s surface was recorded during this period in the entire history of observations. The researchers found that the planet warmed up by 1.3 degrees Celsius in a year.
