The pensioner’s neighbor, who attacked an elevator operator at Domodedovo with an ax, spoke about the attacker in an interview with the 360 TV channel on Monday, August 10.
According to him, the man behaved kindly with his neighbors, and he can be described as “a sympathetic, kind, good person.” The suspect’s neighbor added that he has a family and an adult daughter.
A 64-year-old man attacked a 55-year-old elevator mechanic on August 9. According to the pensioner, the worker constantly turned on loud music, thereby interfering with his sleep. The mechanics lived in a service apartment on the ground floor, the pensioner occupied a one-room apartment on the second.
It is noted that on the night before the attack, the pensioner complained to the police about the noise from the neighbors below, but the law enforcement officers did not find the source of the noise and left. The next morning, a man watched one of the mechanics, when he was heading for a call, and hit him on the head with an ax. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity, writes RIAMO. In the Urals, the deceased had a wife and children.
On August 10, the attacker was detained. A criminal case has been initiated on attempted murder, the Moscow city news agency writes. The residents of the entrance and employees living in the technical room will be questioned. The investigation plans to apply for the arrest of the suspect. The victim is in a coma.
