A law enforcement source said that a pupil had died in the Sredneuralsky nunnery, which was seized by schema-abbot Sergius.
According to the agency URA.RU, a 15-year-old girl who lived on the territory of the monastery turned out to have died. A task force is currently investigating this case on the spot.
The cause of the girl’s death is still unknown. So far, there have been no official comments from the ICR headquarters for the Sverdlovsk region.
Another source said that in the territory of the monastery there is an officially unregistered hospice for seriously ill people and the girl was allegedly brought there to beg. A year ago, she fell ill with cancer and the treatment did not help.
Earlier, the media reported that minors at the monastery are subject to corporal punishment for misconduct. And he himself was defrocked for the fact that in his sermon he cursed everyone who closes churches “because of a non-existent coronavirus.”
