A fire-prevention regime has been introduced in the Amur Region

A fire safety regime has been introduced throughout the Amur Region. This was announced on April 26 by the press service of the Ministry of Forestry of the region.

“The fire hazardous season has been opened and a special fire regime has been introduced in Tynda and Tyndensky district. Thus, a special fire regime will operate throughout the entire territory of the Amur Region, ”it was reported.

It is noted that before that it was gradually introduced in 27 municipalities.

As of 12:00 on April 26, 6 wildfires were active in the region, 2 of them were localized in the Skovorodinsky and Arkharinsky districts.

The Amur Region is one of the Russian regions that annually suffer from forest fires – 27 million hectares of its area are occupied by forests with medium and high fire hazard classes. Last year, over 580 wildfires occurred in the Amur region, their total area exceeding 172 thousand hectares.

On April 22, it was reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of a fire that destroyed six houses in the village of Svobodny Trud in the Amur Region. The fire started on April 21 from a wooden non-residential building. Due to the strong wind, the fire spread to two residential and four non-residential buildings. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
