In Kaluga, a fire broke out at the construction site of the Sports Palace on Sunday evening, December 13. Two cabins burned down, according to the regional Ministry of Emergencies.
“On the territory of the Sports Palace under construction, a fire broke out in the economic block, two change houses 2 by 4 meters caught fire. At present, the fire has been liquidated. There are no casualties,” the message says.
As a result of the incident, the facilities under construction at the Sports Palace were not damaged.

The construction of the Sports Palace is being carried out on the site of the former Central Stadium on Lenin Street in Kaluga. It will become a modern sports facility with the first 50-meter swimming pool in the city and a diving pool with 1065 seats, an ice arena with 3,000 seats, gyms, a sports museum and a 16-storey hotel for athletes. The completion of the construction of the Sports Palace is expected by the end of this year.
