A new feed mill started up in Kholmsk. It is planned to produce up to 30 thousand tons of nutritional mixtures annually, which should satisfy the needs of half of the island’s agricultural producers. Sakhalin livestock enterprises will test the first batch of compound feed in 2020. The new production facility is equipped with modern Russian equipment. The plant provides the district with 50 jobs.

Potential buyers were invited to the opening of the Maoka feed mill, who are concerned about the quality of feed – the quality of meat, milk, eggs depends on them. The consumer is interested in fresh products, as well as in dialogue with the manufacturer regarding the possible compound feed recipe. The point is that boars, sows and piglets need different nutrition. Since the plant is included in the list of priority investment projects in the region, it can count on financial support from the state.
