A drug dealer from Kaluga received 9 years

The Kaluga District Court of the Kaluga Region issued a verdict against a 29-year-old resident of the regional center. A man was sentenced 23 crimes related to drug trafficking on a large and significant scale as part of an organized group (part 3 of article 30, clauses “a, d” part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) to nine years in a penal colony strict regime. This was announced on Wednesday, December 30, by the regional prosecutor’s office.

According to the investigation, since 2019, the man, at the direction of the head of the criminal group, has been purchasing wholesale lots of synthetic drugs (a derivative of the narcotic drug N-methylephedrone). Packed in doses and placed them in cache-bookmarks on the territory of Kaluga.

He sent the coordinates to the manager and received 250-300 rubles for each bookmark. This continued until this year he was detained right at the scene of the crime.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
