A doctor near Ryazan refused to help the girl because of “expired plaster”

In the town of Rybnoye in the Ryazan region, a doctor refused to help a child, citing the fact that the expiration date of the plaster in the hospital had expired. The details of the incident were reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.

As established by the supervisory authority during the audit, the incident occurred in February 2021. While walking in kindergarten, the girl fell and injured her arm. The head of the kindergarten and the teacher called the mother of the child.

The traumatologist of the Rybnovsk hospital, where the girl and her mother turned, sent the victim for an X-ray, but immediately made it clear that he would not be able to provide medical assistance. The fact is, the doctor said, that the expiration date of the plaster bandage expired back in 2017.

At the same time, the child was offered to seek help from the institutions of Ryazan. The prosecutor’s office is sure that the victim was actually denied medical assistance.
