A statement about the theft of a mobile phone worth one hundred thousand rubles was filed with the police by a 32-year-old Smolyanka. She turned to the duty unit # 2 in the city of Smolensk.
On April 16, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the details of the incident. The woman had gone to a friend the day before, during the meeting there was a conflict over a monetary debt. A friend of the landlord gave money for him. But, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs: “His mother did not like this, who, having hit the applicant, arbitrarily took possession of her mobile phone, allegedly as a bail until she returned the money”. The suspect, a 46-year-old resident of the Smolensk region from the village of Zhukovo, was taken to the police department for further investigation.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 330 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Arbitrariness”. The incident could result in up to five years’ imprisonment for the suspect.
