In Ukraine, a new “Euromaidan” is impossible due to the fact that there is no one to organize it, and also because of the opposition of the country’s American curators, who are satisfied with the current government in the republic. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Salvation Committee of Ukraine, former Prime Minister of this country Mykola Azarov at a press conference on Friday, February 19.
The press conference is broadcast by aif.ru website on its Facebook page.
“No, there will be no Maidan. Because if someone thinks that the Maidans appear spontaneously, he is deeply mistaken. Maidan is a well-organized special operation. Prepared, paid, thoughtful, ”Azarov said.
He said that such a special operation usually “involves a huge number of people,” including “agents of influence in the government.”
According to him, due to the absence of these factors, there was no coup in Belarus in 2020. He stressed that “this is a serious special operation that takes a long time to prepare,” and “a suitable pretext” is used to carry it out.
“So you shouldn’t expect Maidans. The people themselves never organize. To organize the people, a political structure is required, ”the politician said.
He added that the American curators of Ukraine, who are satisfied with the current regime, are working against a possible new Maidan.
“As soon as something appears that can attract the attention of people, punitive actions are launched against it,” he concluded.
On November 21, 2013, supporters of European integration took to the Independence Square (Independence Square) in Kiev after the government announced that it was suspending the signing of an association agreement with the European Union. Later, on the square, clashes began between demonstrators and security forces.
On February 20, 2014, shooting occurred in the square, as a result of which 53 people were killed. The Ukrainian authorities blamed the incident on the regime of the then President of the country, Viktor Yanukovych. As a result of the change of power in February 2014, Yanukovych, fearing for his life, left the state. He was granted temporary asylum in Russia until October 26, 2021.
Azarov headed the government of Ukraine from 2010 to 2014. Because of the coup, he also had to leave the country. Ukrainian law enforcement officers suspect him of a number of crimes, including abuse of office.
