The SFTS infection spreading across China is less dangerous than coronavirus, says Vladislav Mitrokhin, associate professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Novosibirsk State Medical University.
According to Ura.ru, he stressed that little is known about the new virus so far. The experts found only that he, unlike COVID-19, has a gastrointestinal manifestation.
According to him, experts should receive more information about SFTS in the coming days. He believes that “it will be something local and will not spread like the coronavirus.”
Also, Mitrokhin believes that the combination of coronavirus and influenza virus is most dangerous if infected at the same time.
