The suspected extremists will remain in custody until 28 September. This was announced today by the joint press service of the courts of the Volgograd region.
According to the investigation, the detainee organized on the territory of Volgograd and the Volgograd region a cell of the international religious association Tablighi Jamaat, which is banned in Russia. The organization was joined by five more people living in the Volgograd region.
– The activities of this organization threaten interethnic and interfaith stability in society, is fraught with encroachment on causing harm to public order, violation of human rights and freedoms, – the message says.
The resolution has not yet entered into legal force.
Earlier, MK in Volgograd reported on the arrest in the Volgograd region of the organizer and five members of a cell of an international extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation.
The illegal activity was revealed by the professional actions of the FSB, the National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
