The American and Israeli authorities have agreed to create a working group to combat Iran’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles. This was reported on April 27 on the White House website.
This decision was reached following the meeting of the US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan with the head of the Israeli National Security Council Meir Ben Shabbat in Washington.
“The United States and Israel have agreed to create an intergovernmental working group to focus on the growing threat of unmanned aerial vehicles and precision guided missiles produced by Iran and provided to its agents in the Middle East region,” the text reads.
In addition, the parties expressed their concerns about Iran’s nuclear program, and also agreed to the serious threat posed by “Iran’s aggressive behavior in the region.”
On April 14, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the country’s enrichment of uranium to 60% and the installation of new centrifuges were a response to Israel’s actions.
We are talking about the accident that occurred on April 11 at the Iranian nuclear facility “Shahid Ahmadi Roshan” in Natanz.
According to the official representative of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Behruz Kamalvandi, the accident was due to a mild explosion. Nobody was hurt as a result of the accident.
Iranian Vice President Ali Akbar Salehi called it a terrorist act. And the Foreign Ministry of the country threatened that Tehran would respond to Israel in a timely manner because of the accident.
