According to the RIA Rating agency, in terms of the growth in the number of employees over the past three years, among all regions, the Orenburg region is in 79th place.
The rating was compiled on the basis of information on changes in the number of employees in 2018-2020. When determining the dynamics of the labor market, the employment of the population aged 15 to 72 was taken into account.
The top was headed by Sevastopol, Tyumen Oblast and Kamchatka Krai, where labor force growth was recorded by 7.4, 2.1 and 1.6 percent, respectively. In the Orenburg region, which is on the sixth line from the bottom, the total number of employees decreased by 8.4%. The situation is worse in the Arkhangelsk region: with an indicator of -9%, the region takes 80th place.
The ranking is completed by the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, where the labor force has decreased by 18.4% over the past three years.
Earlier it was reported that the number of people involved in small business in 2020 in the Orenburg region fell by 12%.
