On the night of April 23, the head of Gubkinsky, Andrei Garanin, announced the construction of a new martial arts center in the city on his VKontakte page. It will be a sports complex of the Northern Character network.
Andrey Garanin worked the day before in Salekhard – in the Legislative Assembly of the YaANO made a report on the issue of joining the village of Purpe to Gubkinsky. In the evening, he visited the Salekhard martial arts center “Northern Character”, trained and said that a similar center would appear in Gubkinsky.
“Of course, in our city we need such a center so that we can transfer athletes to modern gyms, can take more children to the section and open new directions. I am glad to announce that our Governor Dmitry Artyukhov supported Gubkinsky – such a martial arts center will be built in our city! The center will become part of the district project “Northern Character”. It was launched at the initiative of the governor to unite the best types of martial arts, ”Garanin said.
Now the Northern Character Center in Salekhard is the first sports facility in Yamal, where adults and children go in for boxing, taekwondo, sambo, freestyle wrestling, pankration, MMA, crossfit, cycling, fitness, workout and sports aerobics under one roof.
