In Gelendzhik, 76 million rubles will be allocated for the reconstruction of facilities built for the World Cup. The allocated money will be used to renovate the Spartak stadium, which was used as a training base for the World Cup participants two years ago, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Administration reports.

This site, located on Solntsedarskaya Street, was transferred to the Spartak stadium – the operator of the GTO complex in Gelendzhik. More than 100 training bases were built for the World Cup across the country. According to the Minister of Sports of Kuban Alexei Chernov, it is important to use these platforms in youth sports. All the training bases of the Krasnodar Territory, built at the expense of the budget, were transferred to the city children’s sports schools, for example, in Sochi, Gelendzhik and Anapa.

In Gelendzhik, the process of transfer and reconstruction is underway. The work will be completed in 2020. Specialists will make the firmware of the football field lawn, equip new track and field tracks and install horizontal bars for the TRP.
