Over the past day, 25,173 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Russia in 85 regions of the country. This was reported in the operational headquarters to combat the spread of this infection on Monday, November 23.
Most of all new cases were detected in Moscow (6866), St. Petersburg (2926) and Moscow region (971).
361 deaths were recorded. During the day in Russia 16,002 people have fully recovered.
In total, 2 114 502 cases of coronavirus in 85 regions have been detected in Russia to date. Over the entire period, 36,540 deaths were recorded, 1,611,445 people recovered.
Earlier, on November 21, immunologist-allergist Vladimir Bolibok commented on possible repeated cases of COVID-19 disease, stating that they are possible if there are factors that worsen the functioning of the immune system, for example, cancer or taking immunosuppressants.
The doctor noted that people who have recovered from COVID-19 remain immune to the disease for a long time. At the same time, re-infection is almost impossible if the person does not have problems with immunity.
