One person injured in a fire at a Sakhalin oil refinery

A 65-year-old man was injured as a result of a fire at an oil refinery (refinery) of JSC “Petrosakh” located at the Okruzhnoye field in the Smirnykhovsky district. On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Sakhalin Region began to check.

“The Poronaysk Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sakhalin Region, upon the report of a 65-year-old employee of the enterprise receiving thermal burns on the territory of the production base of the oil products production site of the Okruzhnoye field, in the Smirnykhovsky District, organized a pre-investigation check (Part 1 of Art. 143 Of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) ”, – said in a message published on the website of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the region.

It is specified that the reason and other circumstances of the incident are being established, at the moment a number of forensic examinations have been appointed.

Earlier on April 8, it became known about the next fire at the refinery. This time at the Lazaro Cardenas del Rio plant in eastern Mexico.

The fire occurred after a series of explosions at a diesel and gasoline shipment site.
