An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded off the coast of Kamchatka. This was reported on Friday, January 15, on the website of the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to experts, the epicenter of the tremors was 169 km east of the village of Milkovo. The outbreak lay at a depth of 68 km, writes RT.

As told in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no casualties or destructions as a result of the earthquake. The inhabitants of the settlements of Kamchatka did not feel the tremors.

Earlier on January 15, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 was recorded on the border of Russia and Mongolia. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 45 km northwest of the Mongolian settlement of Turt and 251 km from Angarsk. Information about casualties and destruction was not reported.

On the same day, it was reported that three people were killed in a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 off the coast in Indonesia. Another 24 people were injured.
