As a result of the strike on the capital of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), Stepanakert, the power plant was damaged. This was announced on Saturday, October 3, by the Izvestia correspondent from the scene.

After the impact, a fire broke out at the power plant. Presumably, most of the city was left without electricity.

Earlier, the correspondent reported on the operation of an air raid siren in the Karabakh capital, after which artillery shells exploded in the city.

Earlier that day, Stepanakert had already come under fire. After that, about 50 families gathered near the NKR Foreign Ministry, they headed towards Yerevan. As a result of the shelling, no one was killed, there is no information on the victims.

A day earlier, a rocket fell 2 km from the residential quarters of the Karabakh capital. Izvestia obtained a video of a house in Stepanakert that had been damaged by shelling. As you can see in the footage, the iron doors in the building have been torn out, not a single apartment has survived, the cars parked near the house are broken.

Another aggravation of the situation in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic occurred on September 27 this year. Armenia and Azerbaijan blamed each other for shelling and killed among the military and civilians.

Armenia has repeatedly accused Turkey of participating in the battles on the side of Azerbaijan. Ankara and Baku deny this information, while the Turkish authorities expressed their readiness to provide assistance to the Azerbaijani side upon request.

Russia, France, the United States and the UN called on the parties to a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
