The resettlement of the region’s residents is taking place within the framework of the Housing and Urban Environment national project.

The program of resettlement of residents of the Volgograd region from emergency housing started in 2019. During this time, 1,600 people were able to improve their living conditions. According to the regional construction committee, in 2020 seven municipalities took part in the program: Volgograd, Mikhailovka, Kotovo, urban settlements in Svetloyarsk and Gorodishchensky districts, as well as the Umetovskoe rural settlement of Kamyshinsky district. In Volzhsky, the program was completed ahead of schedule.

In 2021, almost 1,500 Volgograd residents are planning to relocate from emergency housing. Now the documents necessary for resettlement are being processed.

By the end of 2025, 11,400 families will receive apartments in new buildings in the Volgograd Region. For these purposes, eight billion rubles will be allocated, of which six billion will be given by the Fund for Assistance to the Reform of Housing and Communal Services.

Note that the Volgograd region already has a successful experience of resettlement of citizens from dilapidated housing. From 2013 to 2017, 12 thousand Volgograd families were able to improve their living conditions.
