President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that representatives of local authorities are to blame for the worsening situation with the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
“I believe that if it were not for the local elections, the incidence rate would be lower. People are always guided by the leader, ”the head of state noted.
According to UNIAN, Zelensky said that the country had the best incidence rate in Europe during the first wave of coronavirus infection. But the local authorities, due to preparations for the elections, demanded a softening of restrictive measures, they “fought in words” with Kiev, reproaching the center for “tightening the screws.” In this connection, the incidence has increased in Ukraine.
Currently, 169,472 cases of coronavirus, 3468 deaths have been recorded in Ukraine, 75,486 patients have been cured for the entire time.
